puklavecandfriends wines are increasingly coming to the attention of a number of UK wine writers.
The puklavec Sauvignon Blanc 2010 was mentioned by Jane McQuitty in last Saturday’s Times (14/01/2012). She described it as ‘One of the most unusual and invigorating versions (of Sauvignon Blanc) I have tasted’ and wrote ‘What this low yielding, hand harvested 11.5 percent alcohol edition delivers is lots of brilliant, zesty, verdant, lemony and rather classy fruit’.
Olly Smith, Waitrose Weekend columnist, also recently highlighted the Sauvignon Blanc 2009 from puklavecandfriends writing ‘Ever tasted a wine from Slovenia? This is your chance to sample a turbo-charged zinging white with snappy zesty citrus intensity that could wake a slumbering rhino at forty paces with a single whiff’.
