Dom. Bordenave Coustarret, Jurancon Moelleux 2007
£16.99 Each

Region: Jurancon, South West France, France
Grape varieties: Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng
Producer: Domaine Bordenave Coustarret

Details:

This wine is a blend of Gros Manseng (60%) and Petit Manseng (40%). The grapes are left on the vine to allow the sugars to concentrate and are then picked by hand in successive passes in November and maybe into December.

It has a medium lemon colour with green tinges. Interesting aromas of lemon, elderflower, hazelnut and vanilla with hints of tropical
fruits (mango and pineapple).

Medium sweet, with good acidity and quite noticeable flavours of grapefruit, mangoes and caramel and good length.

It will go well with tarte aux fruites, fresh fruits, foie gras and blue cheeses.
