This is a medium bodied red wine made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Merlot (35%) and Vranec (20%).

The grapes come from the Disan Hill vineyard in the Negotino Hills of Macedonia some 700 kilometres south of Slovenia. Yields are low and the grapes were handpicked between 10 September and 14 October. Fermentation took place under temperature controlled conditions in stainless steel tanks and maturation was in barrels designed to give mild to medium oak influence.

The result is a wine of deep ruby colour with wonderful aromas of ripe dark fruit and fine spices. It is medium bodied with fine tannins balanced by good fruit flavours with a long finish.

It will go well with roasted red meats such as beef, lamb and venison and also with game and medium mature cheeses.
